You gots that right Rex -The only other car that was more aural at start up than our 78 GTS was a real Ford GT 40 we got to play with in about 1968. Stand on the right hand criss cross hammock seat, slide down and put the right hand gear shift into fifth - get leg between steering wheel and gearshift, settle in, flip the first fuel pump toggle switch hear ticka ticka ticka until fuel bowls fill up, flip next toggle for main fuel pump - more ticka ticka until it stops, turn to the left and on the consol, about where a center gear shift leaver is is a small door bell button for the starter. Hit that once - kaPOW, rumpa rumpa rumpa - - - - then try to put clutch in - - - yeah - wonder where that car is now. It was in SAD shape then and cost the guy 10,000 1968 dollars. What fool would do that - - - - heh heh

Thanks for the reminder Gavin....thats why we do it! What a thrill.....I am always amazed at myself, the same thing happens to me....when I have been with out a Ferrari drive for a 3 or 4 month period and I get in the seat, it fires up, I take it through its warm up period and hit the go pedal....what a thrill, I hope that those like Gavin and I never grow up. Almost Chrismas, even in New Zealand ----- Original Message ----- From: Gavin Bedggood <gavinnz [at] xtra.co.nz> Date: Saturday, December 12, 2009 1:39 am Subject: [Ferrari] GTB running again,, heart rate up!!
