I have an '88 300E with 350,000 kms, with lots of mixed highway and city driving. Lived it's life in a city where the roads are heavily salted. The body has very little rust, and the interior is still near mint. The body is still extremely ridged even after a life of traveling less than smooth roads. The valve guides are now starting to wear a bit, and burns oil, but still passes emissions no problem. For the most part, other than regular service, and normal wear items, the car has required very little. I'd buy another with confidence.
