Guy's I think the talk I had with my grandson about money when he said he did not want to be rich would apply here. I told him you want to make as much money as you can without hurting someone.

Why do you think I labored to get my moms car (81 Buick Skyhawk) roadworthy?
Any car I could affor to buy 1K, I would have to almost as much (I would not have had to drop gas tank and put a new fuel pump in) to make it road ready, new tires, wipers. oil change, fuel filter, plugs....

I enjoy working on cars that I don't have to work on, I would rather bought you a car that was ready to go.

There is the crux, MONEY, DISPOSABLE INCOME - the definition depends on your economic circle.

I think comes down to the definition of the word 'poser'.
First I am not rich, wealthy by money.
I own an old Ferrari, Porcshe, have traveled Europe twice, Australia,Tahati, New Zealand, Hawaii(5 times) Bahamas(5 times) Took European delivery of my Porsche. Owned a Cessna 150 Aerobat, sailed in a Hobie 18 nationals and retired at 54. So I have had a Rich life.

How did putting my grandchildren in cars become my problem (daughters husband left - and filed bankruptcy ). My grandson pays for his gas and insurance from his after school job, just like I did he is not interested in working on cars. I guess there is no point from what is made today, I could only change the oil and plugs in new ones.

But I digress, my wife was upset when we were in Indiapolis for the last USGP dowtown for the Ferrari show when she overheard the 308 described as the 'poor man's Ferrari' . I had to tell her it's true.

We are not rich, we do more than our friends that are rich (over a million $).

I am not a 'poser' don't pretend to be rich, have several pit crew Ferrari watches.
I like real, wheather it be air scoops on a car, or watches, paintings.

But to end what I have to say on the subject 'If you think thats to much' YOU DON'T ENOUGH MONEY!

Stephen

That $800k watch will never take you any place, getting places is for Fords Chevy's and Hondas.....but even a Ferrari will not get you invited to the places that an appropriate watch will.......Timex is for telling you what time it is Patek is to display that you do not have the need to know what time it is....

I can't even comprehend the idea of owning a $800K watch! At least with a *very* expensive car like a McL F1 or Ferrari F40 or 50 I'd have something
that would take me places.
