Many comment that "Enzo's spinning in his grave" for his company making a green-weenie car. But don't forget - Ferrari F1 kept KERS, as did McLaren, throughout the season because it helped performance. It arguably gave Ferrari the win at Spa. Ferrari could have dropped it, but didn't. So..... I suspect that a KERS 599 just might have benefits that put a smile on the driver's face when the right pedal goes to the floor. Gas mileage, etc. are just window dressing to silence the critics of a car company that produces nothing other than wretched excess. If the Ferrari press kit silences the Al Gores of the world, it simply allows the rest of us to go on enjoying our "wretched excess", smug in the knowledge that - just by accident <g> - it so happens to make us go faster.
