Hmmmm, practice practice practice.  Master double clutching first - clutch in, pull to N, let clutch out, blip throttle, Cultch in, pull (push) to lower gear, let clutch out while rolling gas on to match expected rpm.

Now lets add braking to this stew.  Practice braking with the big toe ball of the foot.  Feels weird at first - as if your foot will slide off the pedal - so do the freshman part of this practice when you won't rear end an 18 wheeler or brick wall.

Once that is comfortable, try braking, depress clutch, roll on gas just to see if you can do it.  Try that until you're comfortable with that - next add the double clutch and change gear UP one.  UP??  Yeah, you're still just a sophomore and if you bugger something you will not pull your tranny into a REAL low gear (i.e. - 4th to 1st - Bummer dude) 'cause if you do it really well - that 4 to 1 will slide in there real nice - tho you will feel a slight drag as the gears mate up with 1st gear thinking ". . . so THIS is what its like at 80 mph.

Remember, save a syncro's life - double clutch.

Onward,
DOUG
