good issue
He is keeping his block and heads alone, but there are a wide
variety of options to replacing the old Bosch FI system of
1980-1982.....if you want to chase the rabbit down that hole...

That
would be like putting a training bra on a super
model.
Why
bother and it most likely will not work!

Eh....you're going to have to throw SERIOUS
cash at the intake-side of things to get a 2V engine to surpass
a properly set-up 4V 3.2 stock engine.......we have a guy here
in MA who is going to try, though.

Hmmm....that 'might' be about right -
there is a lot of labor involved with Head removal if the
engine isn't already out of the car. My 4V heads
were around $7,000 for all the valves and machine-shop
work. But that was AFTER the engine was pulled,
stripped, and heads removed. The 4V heads can be a
royal nightmare if they don't want to come off - I got
major-lucky, my rear heads practically fell off the block
while my front heads only needed mild pursuasion with a
rubber mallet.
An engine punch-out, with custom heads,
pistons, crank, and cylinders will EASILY run north of
$35,000.

Ok, a lot of money but not the end of the
world either. It should obvious this isn't a starter Ferrari by
any means!
Michael, would it be any better if we did this
project on a 2 valve carbed car....save ya 8 valves worth of
work?
:)
