That's funny! Reminds
me of when my daughter and I were in a liquor store to purchase her family's
ration of beer for St. Patrick's Day a few days in the future, met 3 or 4
members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the store as they were shopping as
well. But, they all said hello to each other and opined as to what a fine
day they were planning to have.

So
They are essentially just like Southern
Baptists?
Never say hello to each other at the liquor
store...
Make me wonder... Can Muslims dance or is that also
forbidden?

Yeah, they take drinking seriously in muslim countries. ;-^ When flying
towards a muslim country you'll see many of the planes occupants who appear
middle eastern (sorry about the racial profiling, but it's my prerogative)
drinking like there's no tomorrow. Then, when the plane enters the
countries' air space many change into traditional garb and stop drinking.
When flying to Saudi Arabia a few years ago I sat next to a engineering co.
rep. (owner IIRC) who thought I would be in a position to get him on
bidding lists (not likely I said ;-) but that didn't stop him buying us
drinks all the way from UK to SA.
Can you say hypocrite ?

Watch the drinking in an Islamic country. Being drunk is a serious crime!

Get drunk.
Start a business.
Rent a car and drive to where you were going to fly.
See if there's a FOC in Dubai, and arrange a get-together.
Buy a cheap watch. Or cat. Or gun.
Get drunk.
:)
Tell us what you actually end up doing, please!
All the best,

I know this list is rather well traveled, I've got a long layover (9
hours) on May 8 in Dubai. Ideas?
Thanks,
Erik
