For practicing Muslims, the Koran has both laws and rules governing a
god-fearing society and violations are severely enforced punishments in
Sharia controlled areas. But Sharia law goes much farther than what is
contained in the Koran even as amended.
So, armed with knowledge of this legal distinction, knowledgeable and wealthy Muslims outside Sharia borders can dance and drink even though forbidden. Such is not hypocrisy but simply privileges of a superior knowledge of the fine print and the human desire to fornicate. (79:12)
Make me wonder... Can Muslims dance or is that also forbidden?
