Phil you have to go back
Remember Ferrari was always known for 12cyls
Then the 308 came out then the TR
The TR is a special case because of the radical body style
Especially when you look at the 456,550,575,612,599 Calif... these 12 cyl
cars tend to blend in not jump at you like the TR does hence the difference.
Then the expansion of the 3 series to where we are now.
In my opinion there will always be that gap between the 12cyl cars and the 8
cyl ones.
Although it is shrinking when it comes to the 430 and the 575 cars
The jury is still out with the California, there are 2 used ones at FOA go
figure
