When we used to drive to Indy for their F1 races
(750 miles), my wife would drink 30 minutes b4 we would stop for
gas.
Had lunch in Vandlia Ill pizza hut. Got the same
waitress to going back to the early 90's when we went to IRCHA (International
Radio Controlled Helicopter Association) Jamborees.

Planet earth as quoted by
Mapquest, Hans. Yeah, probably doable in less time, but then again, it's
not point to point, doesn't figure in toilet stops, getting to motel/race
track, parking, etc. Oh, yeah, and a meal. I can go (and have) 24
straight with Gatorade and granola bars, but I'm a LOT older now, and have
wifey to consider.
All the
best,
Tom in Tulsa

What planet do you drive on? 450 miles is 6 hours max.
Hans. (who routinely makes the 405 mile trek to Sacramento
in exactly 5 hours)

Well
Rick, if you were still in Tulsa you'd be about 7 1/2 hours (about
450 or so miles) from the F1 site. One day's drive. Not too
shabby. :) Tom Reynolds Tulsa, OK Immortalize your special

2011 US F1 GP (highway 290 at highway 130 intersection). That area is
in the start of the Texas Hill Country and as the name implies, there's
quite a bit of elevation relief - lots of ups and downs. A track built
there would be anything but boring! Add in the fact that its
2-1/2 hours from my front door and I'm smiling. > >
