Hey Britt -Great looking car! Speaking of old Fiats - I worked at a Fiat dealership in the late 60's and one of my all time favorite Fiats is the 124 Sport Coupe - everyone knows about the 124 convertible - but the Coupe was drop dead gorgeous! They were great drivers from what little I remember. The '66 and '67 were my favorite - with a large almost upright greenhouse. I never see any for sale though - maybe they all rusted away? It looked kind of like one of the Maserati's of that era.... They only built them for a few years AFAIK. The convertible went on and on --
Great color on the X1/9 BTW - Larry OilAnalysis Time? Looking for Weber Parts or Porsche Posters? www.youroil.net From: Britt2Asa [at] aol.com Sent: Saturday, June 12, 2010 6:06 AM To: Larry Turner Cc: ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com Subject: [Ferrari] Latest Italian car project doneIn case anyone is interested in seeing the pictures I have just finished the Bertone X1/9 project and put her up for sale. First time I have dug into a little Fiat and I was very impressed and also it was fascinating how similar it was in design and parts to early 70 Ferraris. Bertone however fit removeable access panels in the truck and the firewall to allow you to reach all sides of the engine front and back! Wish my 328 had that.....
Oh and check out the wheels, god those were hard to find, I would happily sell the car without them as they are rare as hens teeth......
Anyway if you want to see pictures they are here.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150454605159Next project will be another Alfa or a Lancia Fulvia or that pesky 512tr I have been looking for......
