If the hinges are dry - find some Justice Brothers
motorcycle chain lube. Spritz that on them. That stuff is the
consistency of WD40. wicks into to the smallest crack, evaporates and leaves a
grease - - - good enough for a motorcycle chain. GREAT stuff.
