Speaking of track cars, I actually just committed to buying a track car today. Steve Cook and I will be flying into Toronto on Monday June 21st to pick it up, and drive it back to Seattle. Any guesses as to what it is? J (if you're one of the few who already knows, no fair giving it away - let's see some guesses first). I agree that the HorsePower war is still going strong, and machines are being designed/built/sold to the general public that most of their owners cannot possibly utilize to anywhere near their full potential, safely, on our streets or on most race-tracks. So what? I would love to track a 599 - the car's capabilities far-exceeds my driving ability to find, let alone explore, the car's traction or cornering limits, so I would expect that it would be extremely difficult for a driver like me to 'get into trouble' and bend something expensive. But that's just how my mind works.
