Can't be an Ariel Atom - it's a one-seater. Unless we're back to Steve sitting in Steve's lap, which I don't think we should rule out just yet. Among the others in the list, the only one I wouldn't much care for is the Caterham:

  1. 1:17.1 - Gumpert Apollo
  2. 1:17.3 - Ascari A10
  3. 1:17.6 - Koenigsegg CCX (with Top Gear Wing)
  4. 1:17.7 - Noble M600 (cold)
  5. 1:17.8 - Pagani Zonda Roadster F Clubsport
  6. 1:17.9 - Caterham Seven R500 (cold tyres)
  7. 1:18.3 - Pagani Zonda F (Roadster version)
  8. 1:18.4 - Bugatti Veyron
  9. 1:18.9 - Maserati MC12
  10. 1:19.0 - Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce
  11. 1:19.0 - Enzo Ferrari
  12. 1:19.5 - Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
  13. 1:19.5 - Porsche 997 GT2
  14. 1:19.5 - Ariel Atom 2 300
  15. 1:19.7 - Nissan GT-R
  16. 1:19.7 - Ferrari 430 Scuderia
  17. 1:19.8 - Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
  18. 1:19.8 - Porsche Carrera GT
  19. 1:20.4 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 (damp)
  20. 1:20.4 - Koenigsegg CCX (without Top Gear Wing)[6]

Since it's a track car and Steve would want it to be reasonable to repair, I'm thinking Noble, ZR1, GTR or 997.

However, I'm personally hoping for the MC12, in which case I would once again want to be living vicariously through the Steves...

Charles has narrowed it down considerably....

No point in extending the guessing game Dr. J.....out with it already!
