Hello Mr. Wacko -
The problem with Asphalt is it is a petroleum based product - other petro-based products will do little to restore it.  The best you can hope for is to clean the spot then put down a patch of Asphalt.  Cleaning usually consists of allowing the spill to be absorbed into the Asphalt - I don't think there's much you can do to "clean" asphalt -

The street in front of my home has a 1" dia spot where someone leaked oil - it basically dissolved the street (asphalt) and the stain stayed - after 20 years of sunshine and rain.

The best course of action is prevention - keep old cardboard or indoor-outdoor carpet remnants around to put in likely spots  --

IMHO of course....

Good luck -
Larry

Subject: [Ferrari] NFC: HOA - Oil on driveway

I like my older cars. They tend to leak or I spill fluids while working on them.  I live in a small townhome subdivision.  We have blacktop driveways.  I will be fined and charged the cost of repair/cleanup if I don't do it myself first.  I have tried electric pressure washers and different chemicals but I can't seem to take the stains up.  I need some advice short of moving on how to clean up an asphalt driveway.  I know this list of people with cars that leak.  What are solutions that have worked for you?

Thanks.

Rodney

I love my Grigio Titanio Ferrari too.

Red is not always the best choice for some of the body styles.
