I have a very large asphalt driveway and purchased ?bitumen? ?bitchmel? in a 55 gal drum. It's water soluble but very thick consistency. Using this is almost like resurfacing the blacktop - it's available where the driveway guys get their product. Check the yellow pages and describe what you're trying to do. (and say bitch-mal)

First use a pressure washer to remove the dirt etc. The shovel globs of it onto the driveway. Then using a application-specific 24" wide push brush to level the stuff.

Works for me - every 10 years.

I like my older cars. They tend to leak or I spill fluids while working on them. I live in a small townhome subdivision. We have blacktop driveways. I will be fined and charged the cost of repair/cleanup if I don't do it myself first. I have tried electric pressure washers and different chemicals but I can't seem to take the stains up. I need some advice short of moving on how to clean up an asphalt driveway. I know this list of people with cars that leak. What are solutions that have worked for you?
