That must have been embarrassing - getting on the binders too soon and almost stopping *before* the corner! LOL - Then accelerating hard to get to the corner only to throw out the anchors once again.

Must have been quite a sight --

Naw Larry - just woofing on the topic. Shoot - put me in ANY F1 and I'm
crap.

I recall sometime ago Renault let a writer FINALLY drive one of their old
F1's. He went to school, got all hopped up for it and after the day of his
drive - his impression was this:
1 - NEVER in my life have accelerated that fast.
2 - The brakes are SOOO good, I would dive deeper into a corner than I have
ever gone (think this guy was an ex-Formula Atlantic or some other pretty
impressive open wheeled car) and would stop BEFORE the turn - then I would
have to get back on the gas to GET to the turn so I could break again!
Wow - sez I - those F1's gotta be something from outer space.
heh heh

It's the #2 that blows me away.....there are many ways for mortal men to accomplish #1 (i.e. real dragsters), but #2 is for gods only.
