Sorry for my Goddaddy post as it may not have spoken to your problem if it was truly just email files, not regular files.  You should be able to phone cox.net for their 'webmail' program which give access to the email files without using a standalone email program (outlook, eudora etc). 

If this still doesn't speak to your issue...spell out exactly what these files are which you have uploaded to cox.net.   There is a way of doing what you want - but you do need to distance yourself from cox/att for anything but simply the broadband interface.

If you have some hosting through cox, they should have given you ftp information such as host name, user ID, host type, and password.  With that, the FTP program has full access to hosting folders and files which you can download into your hd post haste.
