Hi guys!
I saw in a car mag that someone is doing "continuations" of the SCARAB and CHEETAH sportscars now. I understand the FERRARI factory certification department will also manufacture replacement parts for elgible FERRARI cars with missing or damaged components and declare the car original. It's hard to decide how these things should be regulated or considered. Of course any "clones" or repaired vehicles should be clearly identified as such at sale.
While FERRARI obviously preceives they have a financial interest in limiting copies or clones, if no brand authenticity is involved, I have no isue with replicas or "kit cars".
Back in the 1970s there were some visually stunning 250GO replicas buit on Datsun Z car platforms. Joe Alphabet, the M/c exhaust system magnate had a beautiful one.
Just my thought,
