Pulling up the article - nicely done - the near
Cheetah looks like the twin intake FI model., although I believe it was
unpainted when I saw it race at RRI. Could be that at my age I am
undressing anything I recall from the 60's. heh heh

Endorsed by Bill Thomas himself: http://www.65cheetahccc.com/home.htmlFunny,
for all of DOUG's period vintage racing stories, I have matching modern ones
from Monterey/Montreal/Goodwood/Daytona/Watkins Glen/Lime
Rock/etc... The driver's are all mixed up...ie. Derek Bell driving a
Cobra Daytona Coupe. LS

FAKE FERRARI'S
Hmmmm - Scarab knok offs. If they are doing
the real thing - they will put about 700 hours in the aluminum gas tank
alone. That thing fit in-between all the frame rails and
triangulations. Almost, but not quite, a shame to put a body on it - - -
that is until you see the body - then Wowsers.
The Cheetah? Um, watched them race at
RRI. Um, uh, not bad not bad - had a big Chevy using Rochester FI
with two intakes - one in front of the other mounted on top of the FI manifold
box. Looked like two four bbl's mounted up there. Poor old cars
didn't seem to handle that well - coulda been the lot boy taking it about to
break in the engine - ??
