There is a good, if not plaintive article about the trials and tribulations of Jeff's garage in Hagerty's Fall issue, pp 44. by Jonathan Stein.  City Council - as Ferrari Bubba used to tell me about the track guards at Laguna Seca (SCRAMP) ". . . never underestimate the crazy power executed by tiny people in big places."

I guess, judging from the happy neighbors in Stockbridge (home of - Norman Rockwell [Mr. Americana] museum) the 1950's & 60's Green Monster making Arfon brothers would not be welcome - - They too had a small garage out behind the back of their farm, but in Ohio - - -

The most famous "Green Monster" was powered by an F-104 Starfighter General Electric J79 17,500 lbf static thrust jet engine with four-stage afterburner, which Arfons purchased from a scrap dealer for $600 and rebuilt himself, over the objections of General Electric and the government, and despite all manuals for the engine being classified top secret.

Reportedly, the engine's fan had broken blades. [DA - a period HOT ROD (?) magazine goes into detail where by Art removes the broken compressor blades and balances the engine by removing the opposite blades] Art Arfons tested it by tying it to trees in his garden, a procedure which drew complaints from his neighbors. [same HOT ROD article concludes that Art fires up the strapped to trees motor and incinerates a neighbors chicken coup a couple of hundred yards away].

Comparing Jeff and the good Ohio based Walt and Art Arfons - Jeff's going ons makes him an angel.

Yeah, they were my boy hood hero's.
