Funny that observations of others don't always jive with my facts.
I've not made any judgements about France but use them for case in point.
And I don't consider 'equality' bad...just realize it's the opposite of 'freedom'. And I don't want equality of anything, in fact I want equality to disappear in all forms. ?slaves? huh? ?majority-rule? where is that? not US. This isn't a democracy it's a
mal-functioning representative government.

My last post on the subject...good to know there are some thinking members of the group - I enjoy spirited needling when it jogs the grey-matter and encourages fact finding.

Interesting premise - 'equality' is bad. Are we buying slaves in this
country again? Let's get rid of 'majority-rules' Democracy and replace it
with....Feudalism? Monarchy?
Depends on whether you want equality of outcome or equality of
opportunity.

          Liberals/Progressives/Socialists accept unequal, potentially
unfair treatment by government in order to achieve fair results.
          Conservatives/Libertarians/Capitalists accept unequal, potentially
unfair results so long as every citizen receives fair and comparable
treatment by government.
