Yeah, heh heh. But I think he was pressing a point - - - WONDERFUL looking
car - But not a driver.
Heck, looking at the price the 288 GTO was a few years ago and today - a great hedge on inflation.
Saw one up in Emeryville CA that had taken a trip down a slight off road tour. Not entirely like the ". . . good tires but certainly not great tires" picture. Seem mechanic took car out with a fried and stood on - car came around on him, down an embankment and through a telephone pole slightly aft of the passenger side. Imagine explaining to the customer his belt change just exceeded $100,000.00.
Sad thing is - this is akin to dropping a Ming vase and gluing back together again. Sorry 'bout that Humpty Dumpty.
