When my then girlfriend and I watched Basic Instinct in the theaters, there was another couple in front of us.  During the chase scene between the Douglas and the Stone, the girlfriend turned to the boyfriend and asked what kind of car that was.  He replied "that's a Mustang but I don't know why the Camaro says "Lotus Espirit" on it..."

I got the "is that a kit car?" with the 348 a few times also, but my
favorite was out in Nodentist Texas, some older guy asked me what kind
of Mustang it was?
