What's the latest bad ass battery to get?

I've heard that Optimas have long since gone down hill. In fact, I have one 
that 
I bought in 2000 that is running strong. But I understand that those days are 
over.

Beyond the boat anchor Interstates, is there another super duty, long lasting 
lightweight battery out there?

I understand that the above description may not be possible from a technical 
standpoint but it's fun to dream.
