1981 308 GTSi:
I have decided to take my ac condenser out to help with the airflow in front. The ac does not work and I don't know why, but I've been driving without it for 9 years. So, why try to fix it ($$$$$) if I'm not going to use it anyway.
Here are my questions:
1- It looks like I need to take the front hood off before I start, right ?
2- I can only see 2 bolts on top, even in the manual (tav.42), holding both the radiator and the condenser together. Are there any more hiding somewhere ? Can it be that simple ?
3- Do I have to also take the radiator out ?
4- After disconnecting the 2 pipes (#11, #14 tav 42) can I just cover their ends and leave them there ?

I was thinking that if I need to take the radiator out, I may as well send it to a specialized shop and have it all cleaned up and /or redone or whatever the term is. I'll paint it myself afterwards.

Thanks for the help !

Michael Savard

No, you do not need to remove the hood, but you may find it easier to do so.

It's easiest to remove the radiator and condenser together, and separate the two after they are out.

Merry Christmas,

Jeff
