Contrasting Stitching Leather

Do any of you guys have cars with contrasting stitching leather? If so, how do you protect it when you condition the seats? Knowing what a mess Leatherique makes, I would assume that over time this would discolor lighter stitching.

Way back when I was looking at 355s there was a yellow/black one I looked at in Denver with yellow stitching. Parts of it were pretty, but parts of the stitching had been badly faded, either by sun or chemical. How do you avoid that?

Lately I've looked at a couple of cars that were black leather with silver or red stitching. They are quite striking but I'm not sure how they'd hold up over time.

Thanks,
