Picture this - August 1979, Tibor and I are at the Ferrari factory and its empty 'cause this is the first day of national vacation.

We have been told by sign language a fellow will be here at 1:00 who speaks English.

We poke about the small, waiting room with a yellow & cavallino tiled checkerboard wall and take pictures of Giles and Jody's car - one car with different numbers and name on each side.

A door opens and a striking figure in a gazillion dollar suit approaches us.

May I help you?

We would like to see a little of the Ferrari factory.

Hmmm, I see.  Do you work for Ferrari?  Uh, no. 

Do you work for an independent work shop?  Uh, no.

Do you own a Ferrari?  Uh, no

Well - - - - then you have seen (arm sweeping the area) a little of the Ferrari factory.

Wait - we both own Porsches and in the minds of a Porsche owner the last car to own is a Ferrari.

I see - well, uh, I could give you about 45 minutes - - -

May I take my camera?

Sure -

And off we went.
