a CLEAR indication how easy the tune up
maintenance is - uh, were these engines affixed with hydraulic
lifters?

Yeah, me too. And it was hard for me to
believe that Giotto Bizzerrini, who designed the 250 TR, the 250 GT SWB and
the 250 GTO, went on to design his own namesake which kinda looked like a
sled and dropped a Chevy engine in it.
Alas - they do make an interesting car to look
at the Monterey Historics tho.
