I have no idea...maybe check the spring part numbers on the H&R site or on ebay?

If they're designed for the M3, they're likely valved for the weight and size 
of 
that car.

I sold the E46 3 years ago, but will these fit an E39 M5?  Guessing not, 
but maybe you have a x-reference?
