I did purchase one of those but always wondered how it worked. On one of my trips to the boneyard, I took it with me to test before I really needed it.
The cutter is AWESOME. Better than any razor blade or knife we tried it against while sitting in a seat buckled in. Speed of use and cutting amazing. I think it's better than a knife for the non-testosterone type. Also much safer since the blade is enclosed and not exposed.
The hammer with the pointed end.... not so good. We were standing outside of the car hammering away and finally broke a window after 20 or so blows with full arm swings. I think you'd be better off keeping half a brick in the glove box for this. Those emergency hammers are too small and just don't have enough mass.
