A couple of friends had them. You can't see out of them in most directions, brakes suck, very uncomfortable with crazy offset pedals, and a/c really not up to the job of keeping you cool when sitting behind that huge glass windshield on a summer day, even if you're driving it nude. But it's the first car I think of, when "exotics" are mentioned. I still think it has more "Oh my God" factor today, than any Diablo, Enzo, SLR, etc. I think they're pretty cool. :-)

For ultimate gawk "factor-ability", I recommend a series one '78 LP400S....the early models that were 2" shorter in height than the later cars, and I believe lower to the ground as well.
Car is slowest of the Countach lineup, but is sexy as s****!
Fascinating thing about the Countach lineup from the original LP400 to the 25th anniversary is that it can take years to learn all the iterations and appreciate each one for it's pros/cons.
LP400 - clean beauty, vintage aura
LP400S - most striking look of the wide body CT
LP5000 - perhaps cleaner looking than a QV
LP5000 QV - best motor along with 25th anniversary
25th anniversary - don't have much nice to say here, but I'm sure someone can say something.
I think if you could only own one Lambo, go with the 25th. If you have a nice diverse collection of fast cars, I'd probably go with the 400S.
