Hello
The fuel rod issue and potential damger in Japan is very interesting and alarming.
I wonder if it might be possible to bury the rods in some sort of mud slurry that could be kept wet afterward? Of course robotic or remote control equipment would be necessary.
One wonders if it might cause less danger worldwide and overall in Japan to vaporize the sites with tactical nuclear devices? A lot of careful projection would be needed to determine if the net radiation release would be less?
We have Chinese friends living and working in Japan. I also have interests in Japanese architecture and martial arts from the feudal era. I feel sorry for the Japanese people and residents trapped in this mess. I also fear this problem may spread to NE China where we have family and a home or even to the USA?
Lets hope for the best possible outcome.
