Which also reminds me that List Members have done favors for me all over the world. Brian has done any number of helpful things, from embellishing the tail of my 355 to shipping me 200 pounds of 22" eBay rims & tires for my SRT-10. Listers have done visual PPI's for me and one even sent me a souvenir that I wanted from a gift shop in Maranello but couldn't afford when I was there on my own. Always fun to be able to travel to a city and send out a quick e-mail and have anywhere from 1 to 20 people to have dinner with.

Also lots of listers that have let me drive cars I wouldn't have otherwise had seat time in. Great group, and I try to reciprocate whenever possible.

I'm not sure we tell Steve Cook often enough how much we appreciate his efforts over the years. Many of my best friends developed because of the list and my life is much richer for its existence.
Well spoken Charles. I completely agree on both counts.

Joined in 95 or 96, a year or so before I bought my TR. The list was invaluable in educating me since this was way before FChat or other web-based boards.

There are plenty of names I miss seeing - Ric Rainbolt, Rick Lindsay, Ian & Claudia Poertner, Monty Meersma, Aldo "Olive Oil" Vanini, and of course Marc Kilburn, who tossed me the keys to his TR less than 30 seconds after our first face-to-face meeting and then subsequently didn't panic when I nearly creamed the US Mail truck that cut us off while doing 90 in front of Chateau Elan in Atlanta.

I've met listers all over the country and in a few foreign countries. The Hallett list gathering / track event is still one of my favorites ever, and then Euro Hallett a couple of years later cemented relationships with many. There are quite a few other former listers that I keep in touch with off the list.
