I'm located in Darien, IL - a suburb of Chicago. I think I joined in 2005 when I was looking for a new car and considered Ferrari but purchased another BMW 7 series. When I found out that Jim Comforti was also a member of this list, I thought how bad could it be? (I knew him from the BMW days when he gave away performance chips for free!)
A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Fleischer in person because he lives so close. Of course, I made plenty of personal connections via email and phone over the years...
