I can think of a really good reason...  Nurburgring is in Germany.  SC has lots of attractions too and is quite nice on the coast, but I'd rather skip the museum of poor dentistry in spartansburg...

Nothing wrong with BMWs being built in Spartanburg. Charles & I can take a 3 hour trip, do a driving school and pick up your car for you.
