Do you live in the European Community?

Or as it's abbreviated, the ECE? (yes)

(Yes, I know - the UK doesn't always consider themselves part
 of the ECE)

Do you pay the ridiculous fuel prices over there? (yes - or you
would be walking)

The ones that are mostly TAXES (yes - although you may not like it)

Then for the sake of what *I* was saying, "Euro" fit.

As in "European"

As in living in Europe and getting reamed on fuel by governments
who believe "regulate, tax, and spend" is the solution to everything.

Getting reamed on VATs, and this and that ridiculous regulation.

(I'm sure it's even worse for the company you work for)

Where you hail from - your citizenship isn't in question.

Could be America, Mexico, Mars, or Venus for all I know.

You could be green with purple polka dots and have 3 antennae and
you'd still be welcome in my house.

No commentary on your PERSONAL beliefs, but like it or not you support
the fools with every liter of fuel you buy, and every pound you spend.

Simple statements of fact. No conclusions jumped to.

I believe YOU jumped to the conclusion that it was "personal".

FWIW, like it or not, it could have been YOU in the McD's or anywhere
else in the United Kingdom - simply because the criminals have
firearms and the populace aren't allowed to protect themselves with
so much as a sharpened stick. Protecting yourself in YOUR OWN HOME
against an intruder is seen AS A GREATER OFFENSE than the INTRUDER
has committed breaking into your house and stealing from or raping you.

A sad commentary, but one that was originally made by my good friend
who lives in the UK and runs the engineering side of Nicholsen-McLaren.
