Very easy,

The part is not manufactured by Ferrari, but by Bosch.  It's simply the air flow flap.  Remove the offending piece, then take it to your local Mercedes-Benz/Porsche/VW wrecker and match it.   Be very careful not to bend the arm. The last one I bought cost $5.

The trick to the set up is to make sure the clearance around the periphery of the metering flap is adjusted with a feeler gauge as per the Bosch manual, but I am sure your mechanic will know this.

Regards,

Carl.

Subject: [Ferrari] bent blade in metering device

1981 308 GTSi: My mechanic had trouble with the fuel mixture set up. Upon extra analysis, he found out that my blade in the metering device (tav 12 #1 part #115329) is bent or a bit curved. This is just under the air filter. He said he can't get it straight since this is an aluminium part and very fragile. At RICAMBI, I clicked #115329 and they wrote $3,646.00 for the whole part.

Anybody has any solution ?

Anybody has a good used one to sell ?

7 days before the Canadian Grand Prix.

Thank you!
Michael Savard
