I don't nearly have enough time to recount all of my fond List memories, but I will say that they've been pretty awesome.

They've also been few and far between lately...so all you guys need to get your hands out of your pants and get to Montreal this weekend for the F1 race.

And, we need to attack Monterey in August!!

Who's up for it?

Handa has no excuse...I'm even coming out to the West Coast to make it easier on him...

Looks like I've left some impressions in North American and Asia.  I'm heading to South Africa on the 19th, anyone up for a road trip?

Dave = great letter. I,too have many memories of lister encounters, not the least of which was that excellent lunch in SEA. Still have Black Jesus, which same underwent a heart transplant in 2008 using a 4.6 litre block intended for a contemporary X5si that had been polished , ported,  balanced and has hand lapped valves amongst other things. No idea what it is putting out, but it pops. Seen here last Sunday gassing up somewhere near Asheville, NC during an 8 hour run from Charleston, SC to Ft. Campbell, KY. (After my fourth divorce I got drafted so I am doing LASIKs for the Army now under contract.)

One of my best Flist experiences was getting a sneak tour of all the fabulous rolling stock in the Ferrari of Houston warehouse stored for unnamed clienti from south of the border, thanks to the persuasive powers of Erik Nielsen. What an afternoon THAT was. Also all the events connected with that cross-country run in 2001.

Onward!

Hey,  from monitoring the List, I just wanted to say it is great to see all the familiar people are still here, cLyDe, Charles, Lashdeep, bigheaded Dennis, Jim Conforti, Dr Ken, Scottie, Fellippe, Rob Garven, Doug K, Todd Walke, Erik Niesen, Robert Rehkopf and I am sure I am missing a few namesâ.

Here are a few flashes down Memory Laneâ.

Dennis shouting out to me from a rental Taurus sedan back in 2001 (?), at an intersection in Bellevue, WA  âhey Dave! Itâs Dennis Lui!â  Me twisting my head and thinking âman, his head IS big!...â
D, I still have a picture of you, me, Steve Jenkins and the âLovely Jamieâ on my fridge.  J

Meeting Erik Nielsen at the inaugural 2004 F1 race in  Shanghai for dinnerâ.whoâd a thunk you can run into a Lister in China?!  Lol

Long email threads and conversations on the phone with Jim Conforti as he tried to rationalize the crazy idea of actually buying a Ferrariâesp after learning all the pitfalls of ownership from this List!  I tried, but he got one anywayâ

Enjoying many a F1 race with Todd W, either at my house or hisâ.Todd, we need to get the gang together again, Iâll bring the âvictory cakeâ! J

Charles Perry, for volunteering to fix my LED temperature controller for my 328 GTS.  He figured (rightly) that there were some bad cold solders on the circuit board.  Thanks again Charles!

Iâve met up with Capt Rehkopf both here in Seattle, and also in Vancouver, BC for lunch and dinner.

Dr Ken and I had lunch with FBI agent Dan Ramos here in Seattle.  Olâ Ken was passing through from British Columbia on his way back to Texas in his BMW 540M-Sport, nicknamed âblack jesusâ.  Lol
I have the same car in Silver, so we compared notes.  (btw, I am supposed to be having lunch with Dan later this week)  Ken I have followed your sage advice and remained SINGLE.

Lashdeep calling or emailing me, and reminding me how lame I am not to come up to Montreal and tear up the city with him.  Sorry, Iâm a loser, but someday, I will come, promise!  In the mean time, continue to send me the pictures of you with the umbrella girls on Peel Street, and sleeping in your clothes in bed, with barf on the pillowâ.those are classic!   Lol

Thatâs all for now,

Dave
