Hi Adam,

    Back before CNN (way back) in the revolutionary War period, there were “Town Cryers” who would keep the locals up on the latest news.  He’d walk around town using a big, booming voice and would “Cry” out the news.   As he moved around he’d alert the locals he was beginning his ‘broadcast’ by calling out “Hear, Hear”, as if to ask the people to hear what he was about to tell them.  At least that’s part of what I got from American history class. 

 

    I also seem to recall there being a “Town Cryer” walking around doing his thing at Williamsburg last time we visited there.

This email is just a hodge-podge of others email hoaxes that have been floating around for years. I’m sympathetic to the plight of our veterans, and no lover of big government, and I commend Larry's enthusiasm, but I recommend that before anyone forwards any emails to anyone ever, they check Snopes.com first.

This is not something for or against any particular party or administration – I hope you will read it & pass it on.
I have refrained from sending Non-topic email for a long time – this may be off topic but it is important – I hope you will pass it on.    It’s important for all to see the nonsense going on in congress so we can demand they make changes.

The photos may get stripped – they show a disfigured Marine being awarded a medal for Valor.  The text below should make it through I hope.
