No. 01955 Engine Tipo F105C (3.2-liter, V8) Milage TMU (Race Car Only) Are you ready for some ridiculously fun on your favorite track.... If the answer is no... delete this email and don't even bother wasting your time reading it further. If you are a fan of well documented, historically accurate, Ferrari Factory Team, Classiche Certified Period Race Cars... then this also is not going to be even remotely of interest to you. If you do however love to race and play on the track, wish to do so in a Ferrari and are looking for maximum fun at minimal cost... then guess what... this just might be worth looking into a bit more closely. Thirty years ago this Ferrari started out life as a normal production, road-registered and titled "street" car. Today except for still being a "titled" vehicle, it is a mere shadow of it's original configuration. 33183's early ownership and history are unknown and even if they were it would most likely be impossible boring and hardly worth repeating anyway. Construction and conversion work as a race car started in the early 1990s. It was built at the time to the IMSA GTO/GTU rules that required stock chassis, suspension, engine block, heads and silhouette body work. You could basically add or delete just about anything else and reinforce where needed plus add in the mandatory safety features. The body is based on the homologated 288GTO program and extremely beautiful giving the car a clean and clear appearance of going 200+ mph while standing still! The design and construction of this car went all out but the work took far too long and when done in the mid-90s, rules changes made the car obsolete and the new owner, ArtSports stored the car with occasional track use during "club" days only. Not long ago the car was updated with a new 3.2-liter engine and programable MOTEC fuel-injection, dash and engine management control systems. The brakes were upgrated to BREMBO double-pot, floating caliper systems with dual circuits and fitted to cross-drilled and ventilated calipers at all four corners. 18-inch wheels and massively-wide tires now fill all four wheel-arches. Hydraulic actuation for the brakes and clutch is by Tilden with a lock-out for parking as well as cockpit controlled balance, both fore and aft. A full compliment of safety features including fire-supressoin system, race seat and belts as well as front and rear tow-hooks have been carefully integrated into the car's construction. A full roll-cage which is rigidly welded and integral with the car' s frame ensures maximum safety as well as stiffening of the car's handling considerably. The programable MOTEC fuel-injection and digital dash monitoring system are state of the art and both easy to use and extremely reliable. Body work is fully-modular and can be completely removed and refitted by two people in less than 10 minutes! The car has no accident damage and very little indication of the limited track use it has had in years gone by. The motor currently has only set-up and dyno time and produces in excess of 300bhp at less than 7,000rpm! A compression check just last week produced perfect results with individuals cylinder's ranging from 180-190lbs cold! The original build cost likely exceeded many hundreds of thousands of dollars but today, just $99,000 will see it trade hands if it meets your needs. What do you get for your money.... some serious track-side fun that simply cannot be duplicated with any other Ferrari for even twice the price anywhere ever! This is clearly the ideal candidate for a variety of historic race sanctioning groups as well as obnoxious fun at the next Ferrari Club track gathering where you are guaranteed to have the only one in attendance!
