The show was somewhat focused on Jackie Stewart and Colin Chapman. They gave very little in the description of late 50's early 60's racing where danger was an every day occurrence. Von Tripps was the first story in the show but was very brief. Search Youtube for the Von Tripps crash video. They showed a very brief piece at the beginning. Jimmy Clark was involved in the Von Tripps accident at  Monza as well.  Another good book on the subject is  The Limit: Life and Death on the 1961 Grand Prix Circuit by Michael Cannell. Ferrari fans will find this a great read. It's a story about Phil Hill and Ferrari. Cannell is a reporter by trade and his writing style reflects this. Fascinating stuff and what an era to be involved in racing.

Warm Regards,
Mike Wenzel

Larry and other early F1 aficionados â the book âThe Cruel Sportâ  needs to be in your library.
