A new program will be shown on the "Velocity" network this Sunday night - 8PM ET repeated at 10PM and 11PM ET (may repeat again later in the night/week)

Publicized as the time when F1 safety was lacking and drivers died regularly - they haven't said specifically but I assume it's 1950 (the start of modern F1) to the early 80s when the North course of the Nurburg Ring was closed for safety concerns.  The previews looks very interesting with shots of Jimmy Clark (my hero since I was 14) and many others of that era. 

    I think I saw a Ferrari and Dan Gurney's Porsche!  ;-)
