I understand and to a great extent agree with the sentiment.  And I do believe Hein-Werner products are manufactured in the U.S. (but the company appears to be owned by Shinn Fu Company -- whose ultimate owner appears to be in China or Taipei).

But even if I were to consider paying about 7 times the price of the Harbor Freight jack I'm considering, hauling the 100+ pound Hein-Warner jack for the track isn't practical.

Friends,

I am probably the brokest Ferrari owner out there but would not skimp on anything for the "Car"  I have a original Lincoln jack and it is great. My Craftsman race jack is nice and light but tends to give out when I am getting the car to where it needs for the jacks.
I also am trying to buy US products as some here need jobs. I live 30 minutes from HF but just like Walmart will not buy their products. If I was to buy another jack I just looked at the USA made ones that used to be lincoln

It may seem like allot but depends on how much you value your car, the stands are just to keep me alive so I can take car of the car.........
