I agree - the 1st hour was the best -   but I guess most of us car nuts know the Shelby story pretty well by now after he spent 50 years making magic for us.  I have wanted a Cobra since I was 14 years old & I Still do....

Subject: [Ferrari] Shelby 3 Hour Tribute this Sunday on Velocity Channel

Discovery Communications' Velocity Channel will broadcast this Sunday a three-part, three-hour program about the late Carroll Shelby, "King of the Road," produced by WATV Productions' Lenny Shabes, who knew Shelby for more than 30 years.  Episode 1 looks at Shelby's humble beginnings and his conquest of Le Mans as driver, team owner and builder, and the creation of the Cobra.  Episode 2 documents his alliance with Ford to transform the Mustang into the racing GT 350, up to the latest version of same.  Episode 3 documents Shelby American's transformation of the new Shelby Mustang GT 500 into the world's fastest production Mustang.

The programs will air this Sunday, May 20 from 8-11 p.m., with a repeat from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. extending into Monday, May 21.  Check local listings for additional broadcast times (all times Eastern).

Enjoy -
