Hi Rob,

Thanks for the summary. Didn't mean to stir old wounds for whomever - apologies if I did.

Oil leaks - don't you love them? .... (Turn on Jeremy Clarkson voice.)  Some say that old engines built to poor tolerances or with old gaskets don't like certain low viscosity and high detergent oils. Others say that an engine should seal, come what may. All we know is that it's called.... AN OIL-LEAK!  (Clarkson voice off.)

Amazing picture! Good luck.

Grahame

A young member offer to make some list decals, they took longer than expected and some people got upset, some thought they were never made but here is the proof. I got mine and here is another one. The lister

is still with us and risked his life for all of us so I am hoping this is more of a fun thing to remember than chasing a rabbit down a hole.

I am an animal lover and still upset ver the whole cat saga but we have to all move on!  HAAA

I have learned that good things come to those that wait.

I did not want to jinx myself by telling everyone but tried to fix and oil leak and stripped a stud on my front exhaust cover plate lower stud. It was next to impossible to fix but Timesert came to the rescue. Turned out it was my dist o ring leaking.

so 2 days of work for nothing. I still cat get a handle on what size ring to use this is a pic and no BS

Everyone can learn from my mistake once you torque a nut down on your ferrari no amount of more torquing will fix anything and cause all sorts of pain and suffering. Luckily this had a good ending. I still have a few leaks and

am chalking them up to my try with syn oil. Seems my GT4 leaks less with 20/50. I wanted to keep using Castro but the company even said dont use it so I switched to valvoline 20/50. Even the guy at redline said

if I keep driving it it should build up gunk and stop leaking. It looks like I have a leak from my rear head but no oil in water or water in oil. If I could rebuild the entire engine I would not hesitate but several others told me this would happen and as always I did not listen

I am runninf ful synth redline in my GB but 70/90 is thicker and does not leak but did cause me to reseal my drive shafts......

Sincerely,

Rob
