Every 'quality' Ferrari watch was manufactured by a prominent Watch Manufacturer who teamed with Ferrari on a collaborative effort:

Cartier
Longines
Panerai
Girard Perregaux

Supposedly, you're paying for the quality materials, the mechanical movement, the hand-built craftsmanship with the above makes.  Ferrari watches from the above-brands are collectors items and have significant resale value.

These 'Ferrari' Watches from Groupon are NONE of these core makes, and are probably made in China for $30.  Sure, they'll probably 'work' and tell-time, but if you think you're buying a quality product or an 'heirloom' watch to pass down through your family, I highly doubt it at those Walmart-prices.  My Ferrari coffee mug says "made in China" on the bottom of it - which is where the vast majority of the CRAP being sold through the 'Ferrari Store' now comes-from.

I have the same questions as Matt.  I know a little bit about watches (a *very* little bit), but not enough to know if these are actually quality watches.  At these prices, I'm almost a buyer, but would like to know how good they are.  (Came close to buying a watch at the FCA meet in CA, but the watch I liked turned out to be a $600 watch rather than the $350 the guy told me initially.  I liked it *A LOT* better at $350 than at $600, or even the $500 he offered to drop it to.  Oh well....)

Regarding Gary's point - I think the owner's site, or maybe even the Ferrari Store, had some "tricks" to getting way more than just 40% off.  Search FChat and I think the tricks are in there (though they may have expired by now).

Thanks,
