I’ve had similarly good results with this enzyme based product: http://mystarbrite.com/startron/ Recommended by my local lawn products dealer for big lawn tractors and other assorted gas-powered tools (pressure washers, weed eaters, farm tractors (non-diesel), etc). Works quite well and combats the effects of E10 in small engines that weren’t designed for it. It should work equally well in cars, but luckily in SC we really never have need to winterize a car. There is also a station ½ mile from my house that sells pure gasoline in the 93 octane, so that’s where I fill everything. -- charles From: rtpetrick [mailto:rtpetrick [at] comcast.net] Gavin, We have a product in the States called STA-BIL. I’ve used it for many years for storage of my Ferraris. I fill up the gas tank in fall, add the appropriate dose of STA-BIL, put the battery on a trickle charger……and that’s it. Six months later, when summer hopefully comes to Minnesota, I top off the air pressure in the tires, disconnect the trickle charger, and “fire em” up. That simple. No need to go through the process that you do. http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/stabil/products.aspx Regards Prospero Ano y Felicidad |
