I thoroughly understand your point of view - I just wouldn't want to see a
'list friend' buy a car he's in-love with, blow his entire nest-egg to get the
keys, and then it languishes in his garage for years when a 40-year-old
drivetrain decides it wants to throw a rod and he can't get NOS parts for it.
I have zero doubt as to Rob's passion and technical abilities with carb-powered
cars. Zero.

However, there's something nice about having a car where Ferrari still keeps
parts on-the-shelf for when something breaks. Its a lot nicer to drive these
cars than work-on them, ad-nauseum. The guys I know who 'fabricate' parts for
old cars have bank accounts similar to Jim Glickenhaus.
