An easier/cheaper experiment is to install a smaller diameter steering wheel.

Still curious as to how it would feel since stability and sensitivity on my '76 (with the OEM bare aluminum spoke Momo) felt slow at regular speeds (below 80mph) but excellent above.

I'm curious too.

Reason to lean towards a faster rack is that the 308 is a smaller/sportier car compared to say a TR/Boxer type where the slower steering for high speed assault seems like a better match.

Also, I wonder how much of steering rack speed is liability vs. getting the feel right. Most street cars have more understeer and slower steering than needs to be I think.

I always thought the 308 steering felt perfect at 100+ mph.

If the boot is the problem you can try to find a Japanese half shaft boot that's close that might work
And you say the steering is recirculating ball not rack and pinion?
Hmm

Friends,

My GT4 steering rack is leaking and I will remove it to rebuild but hoping some of you may have an idea about were to find some of the parts. I know it is a cam gear box and some of the parts can be replaced with Pantera parts but I have been told the boots do not fit and the plastic bushing is unobtainable?
Hoping for some advice or info

Thanks
